Each Other’s Protectors
I’ve only ever been threatened by other women - because I was threatened by the woman that lived inside of me:
Threatened by her sheer power, her beauty, her wild unbridled, untamed and unrestrained nature - that for thousands of years had caused her to be burned at the stake, tortured, hormonally manipulated, pharmaceutically controlled with swarms of terrified men AND women, agreeing that mass intervention, a forced guilty verdict with a psychiatric ward commitment was the only way forward.
There is no safety in the wild.
And that is the irony. We are programmed that we need to stay safe - and we are also programmed who the only demographic is - that can protect us.
The feeling of safety is actually something we have been taught to perpetually seek with only temporary, acute glimpses of satisfaction.
Because it was always inauthentic. It was always a mismatch to our truest natures.
We are instead meant to integrate unsafety.
How else can we stand on our own? Without all of those protectors?
